Tsunami Slam
So two nights in a row I didn't sleep... in my own bed.
I woke up in the arms of a beautiful woman, ok not really but I did wake up near a beautiful woman.
Yesterday was good, got in to the house at 9:30 am went on-line and talked about the night before.
Got a phone call from Becca asking me, if I wanted to watch Carmen... the Opera. We went to my mom's place so I could do Graphic Design work and watch the opera. All and all not that bad for a movie version of an Opera from 1984. After all that I went home and cooked. Tried all different styles of cooking beef. I even made a caramelized black pepper beef, could have used lime. Then the Tsunami benefit remembrance slam. GUNN high school slam team did an exhibition... most excellent. The guest Artists hailing form the windy city, Chicago. Dan Sully & Tim Stafford. Fucking amazing.

What was nuts was the remembrance slam. I was the first poet up after the sacrificial. I went up with a virgin piece and got a 23.6 not bad for writing it right before the show. After me was the Mighty Mike Maggee, who rocked as always ... damn he's good. The night was awesome. After the slam we went to Lee Knight jr.'s. Good food, good people, good conversation, and a fucking brilliant trip to 7 11. We watched Shaun of the Dead and Family Guy. I feel a sleep, and therefore it was a party. I woke up, skated home, and posted this post.

and now to go to Work...
